Keysight Technologies announces 1000 X-Series series of low cost oscilloscopes

Keysight Technologies announced InfiniiVision 1000 X-Series oscilloscopes. The instruments of this new family of entry-level oscilloscopes are marketed from 450 to 850 US$ (422 to 798 €). These devices have two inputs that combine up to six instrument functions and have a bandwidth of 50, 70 or 100 MHz depending on the model.

The 1000 X-Series oscilloscopes are based on Keysight’s MegaZoom IV specific ASIC component, which ensures an acquisition rate of up to 50,000 waveforms per second for parasitic pulse analysis and other random events.

These instruments have a sampling frequency of 1 or 2 GS/s. They are supplied as standard with two probes. They use segmented memory segmentation to optimize the use of memory depth (1 Mpts for DSOX1102A and DSOX1102G models).

These oscilloscopes, which are aimed particularly at occasional users and students, integrate tools to help them easily get started by novice users.

The Standard Resource Kit includes sample signals, a laboratory test guide with an oscilloscope, and a slideshow of the fundamentals of the oscilloscope that can be used as teaching aids for teachers and Laboratory assistants.

The 1000 X-Series instruments combine up to six instrument functions : oscilloscope, serial bus protocol analyzer, digital voltmeter and frequency meter. The EDUX1002G and DSOX1102G models also offer a frequency response analyzer and a 20 MHz WaveGen function generator for Bode diagrams.

The 1000 X-Series family offers 24 standard measurements for signal analysis and parameter determination. The signal analysis capability, based on bounded FFT function, allows to study on their 7-inch screen the correlation of the phenomena between the temporal and frequency domains.

The mask test function is also available for signal error detection.

The 1000 X-Series oscilloscopes from Keysight support the decoding and analysis of the main serial bus protocols in embedded and automotive applications: I2C, SPI, UART / RS232, CAN and LIN.
