Trescal Metrology services

Trescal acquires the French laboratory A+Metrologie

  • Trescal’s 2017 acquisitions tour is taking place this month on its original country.
  • The specialist in metrology services has officially announced the acquisition of Apave Group subsidiary A+Métrologie.
  • This eighth acquisition since the beginning of the year was carried out, as usual, with the support of the investment company Ardian, majority shareholder of Trescal.
  • This is the 24th acquisition since the acquisition of Trescal by Ardian in July 2013.

In 2017, Trescal strengthened its presence worldwide with the acquisition of seven companies: Pyrometro Services in Malaysia, Acucal and Exphil Calibration in the United States, Digital Measurement Metrology (DMM) in Canada, L3M Technologies in Singapore, and Gebhardt Instruments in Germany.

On Thursday, November 2, the group officially announces that it has completed the acquisition of the French laboratory A+Métrologie.

Created in 2000, A + Metrologie has 14 laboratories capable of supporting instruments and measuring devices of multiple measurement parameters. Its laboratories are spread throughout France.

The company employs 320 people (including 250 engineers and technicians). Trescal ensures that the entire workforce will be retained.

A+Métrologie achieved a turnover of 27 million euros in 2016.

With this sale, the Apave group is focusing on its core business: risk management.

For Trescal, this transaction allows it to expand its service catalog through a network with more agencies in France.
