Spherea Acquires Konrad’s US Subsidiary

  • French company Spherea announces the upcoming acquisition of the US subsidiary of Konrad Technologies, which the German group created in 2015 in the United States.
  • With this transaction, Konrad aims to refocus its global operations, while Spherea intends to significantly strengthen its presence across the Atlantic.

Based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Konrad Technologies US is a provider of automated test equipment and test system integration services, primarily for the defense, automotive, and medical industries.

The transaction is expected to close this summer, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

This transaction follows the May 2025 announcement of Keysight Technologies’ collaboration with Spherea to provide test capabilities in the aerospace and defense sectors.

A former entity of the Airbus group, Spherea was created in 2014 to gain independence and expand into various sectors. The company has over 60 years of experience designing electronic test solutions for the aerospace, defense, and critical industries. The French group, which employs 750 people in six countries, generated revenues of €134 million in 2024.

Konrad Technologies is a German company specializing in the development, design, and integration of customized automated test and manufacturing solutions since 1993. It has subsidiaries in the United Kingdom and South Korea.
