- Danisense has announced the release of the DP12IP, a current transducer designed for printed circuit board (PCB) mounting and intended for isolated measurement of direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) up to 18 A.
The current sensor utilizes closed-loop fluxgate technology with a compensated flux, employing a fixed excitation frequency and zero flux detection via secondary harmonics. This architecture enables a maximum linearity error of 10 ppm. Electrically, the transducer accepts measurement resistances up to 100 Ω at full scale.
In terms of size, the package measures 32 mm in diameter and weighs 250 g, characteristics that allow for integration into 1U power supply chassis and space-constrained equipment.
The DP12IP series current sensor is designed for power conversion and control systems. Its applications include power supplies for particle accelerator magnets, battery test benches and emulators, servomotor control, and power analysis equipment.
