Keysight Technologies joined the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA). With its expertise in 5G design and test, as well as the collaborations with 5G research companies and academics, Keysight will contribute in connecting the next-generation 5G wireless communication and intelligent transportation technologies.
The 5GAA was formed on September 27, 2016 and is comprised of automakers and network providers who are collaborating to solve issues related to connected mobility and road safety needs through 5G mobile networks. Applications that 5GAA are working on include connected car autonomous driving, ubiquitous access to services and integration into smart cities and intelligent transportation.
As an active member in a number of automotive industry associations, wireless standard organizations, including 3GPP, and 5G consortia, Keysight is playing a role in providing design and test tools from legacy 2G, 3G and 4G, to emerging 5G wireless technologies.
Keysight will contribute 5G design and test expertise to advance 5GAA’s mission to develop, test and promote communications solutions, initiate their standardization process, and accelerate the commercial availability of these technologies in the automotive industry.
Keysight will collaborate with wireless communication and automotive industries to set up 5G automotive test cases, define certification processes, address vehicle-to-x (V2X) test and interoperability challenges, and support trial deployments.
