- These amplifiers can be used in a variety of applications such as EMC testing, antenna and component testing, wattmeter calibration, etc. The customization of these amplifiers to specific needs reinforces their versatility.
The AR Series U includes the 1U1000, 2.5U1000, 10U1000 and 25U1000 models that deliver RF power of 1, 2.5, 10 and 25 Watt CW respectively when driven by a scan generator.
These amplifiers are protected against the injection of signals that are too high at their RF input by a specific circuit integrated in their input stage. The gain can be adjusted via a front panel control knob.
The 10U1000 and 25U1000 RF amplifiers are protected against overheating, which could be caused by a cooling and ventilation system failure. The front panel display shows the operating status and fault conditions due to a temperature or power supply problem.
The control and display of the amplifier operating parameters can be realized remotely via an optional remote control kit via various interfaces: GPIB / IEEE-488, RS-232 and fiber optic, USB and Ethernet.
The connection to the interface of the bus used is at the back of the instrument. The choice of the control mode (local or remote) is made by a specific switch placed on the front of the amplifier. The remote control unit also includes a safety locking circuit.
