- Pickering Group, a specialist in switching and signal path solutions for automated electronics testing, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Chinese subsidiary, Pickering Instruments (Beijing) Limited.
- Established in 2016, the Beijing office was created to provide localized sales, technical support, and marketing services to customers across mainland China, addressing the growing demand from the region’s electronics manufacturing sector.
The opening of the Beijing office expanded Pickering’s global footprint, which now includes locations in the United States, France, Germany, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Malaysia, in addition to its headquarters in the United Kingdom. This strategic presence has enabled the company to offer enhanced business intelligence, on-the-ground technical support, and customized sales and marketing programs tailored to the needs of local customers.
During a recent summit in Shanghai, Pickering’s leadership and local partners gathered to reflect on the company’s decade-long journey in China and to unveil its strategic plan for 2026. Jiao Jinxia, General Manager of Pickering China, highlighted the company’s commitment to collaborating with local partners to deliver value through technical expertise and customer trust. The 2026 strategy focuses on expanding Pickering’s product portfolio, particularly in RF and microwave technologies, sensor simulation, instrumentation, and connectivity solutions. Wang Qi, Product and Marketing Development Manager at Pickering China, provided a preview of new products designed to build on the company’s core strengths in relay, switching, and signal path technologies.
Among the key products showcased were the Series 125, an ultra-high-density reed relay now available in 1 Form A, 1 Form B, 1 Form C, and coaxial configurations, capable of switching up to 1 ampere and 20 watts. The Series 600, a highly customizable high-voltage reed relay, was also highlighted for its modular design, offering over 2,500 configurations with stand-off voltages of up to 20kV across switch contacts and 25kV from switch to coil.
Pickering China reaffirmed its collaboration with system integration partners such as Suzhou Dezhi Electronics and Shanghai Qianshun Science & Technology Co. to develop solutions for functional and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. Jiao Jinxia emphasized that Pickering’s unique position as a provider of comprehensive solutions—from components to systems—is strengthened by its partnerships, which integrate global technology with localized service to better serve Chinese customers.
Pickering Group operates through three divisions: Pickering Interfaces, which specializes in modular switching and simulation tools; Pickering Electronics, focused on high-performance reed relays for automated test equipment manufacturers; and Pickering Connect, offering a full range of standard and custom cable and connector solutions. Together, these divisions enable the company to deliver high-quality products tailored to the evolving needs of the electronics testing industry.
