- Pickering Interfaces offers the next-generation single-slot PXIe integrated controller (model 43-920-002).
- This integrated controller, occupying a single slot in a 3U PXIe chassis, was first presented at the 2024 edition of the German Electronica trade show.
Model 43-920-001 was the first single-slot Gen 4 PXIe embedded controller available for the PXI Express platform. This controller enabled Pickering to supply turnkey PXIe systems consisting of a chassis, integrated controller, switching/simulation/instrumentation modules and cabling. This simplifies acquisition and integration of the test system. In particular, the controller can be integrated into the British manufacturer’s 21-slot PXIe hybrid chassis, which has just one slot for the controller.
The new-generation PXIe 43-920-002 embedded controller boasts up to 2 times the performance of its predecessor (43-920-001). It uses an 11th-generation Intel Xeon processor, combined with 64GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB m.2 Type B SSD.
Offering system throughput of up to 28 GB/s, using a 4- or 2-link configuration, the controller can support demanding, high-bandwidth test and measurement applications thanks to scalable PCIe Gen4 and 10GBASE-T interconnectivity.
Pickering also offers a turnkey factory configuration service to streamline setup, including installation of the Windows operating system and drivers, licenses and optional installation of Pickering’s PXI or PXIe switch, simulation and instrumentation modules.
