- In its 2017/2018 financial year, Rohde & Schwarz’s revenue exceeded two billion euros for the first time.
Rohde & Schwarz’s development strategy is focused on markets with strong growth potential. The German group’s activities focus on four strategic sectors: electronic testing and measurement, broadcasting and media, aerospace, defence and security, and networks and cybersecurity.
The strategy of the family group, based in Munich, is successful. In its previous financial year, from July 2017 to June 2018, Rohde & Schwarz announced that its revenue had exceeded the €2 billion mark for the first time.
Its revenue amounted to €2.04 billion, up 6.7% on the previous year. New orders increased by 7.4% to €2.21 billion.
The global workforce of the German group has also increased. It had approximately 11,500 employees as at June 30, 2018 (compared to 10,500 in 2017).
