Dspace consolidates its partnership with NXP

  • Dspace and NXP Semiconductors announce the extension of their partnership in the area of raw radar data simulation.

This partnership aims to generate and validate synthetic raw radar data for future sensor technologies implemented in the development of radar solutions operated by highly automated driving applications and autonomous cars.

Radar technologies have become a must for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving applications.

NXP regularly integrates new features into its radar chips that are validated by realistic simulations using Dspace’s Aurelion software to generate raw radar data. The quality of the raw radar data is evaluated and validated with NXP using the new on-chip features.

NXP uses the radar data generated by Dspace’s tools to develop system solutions for angle, forward and imaging radar sensors. This data enables validation of radar ICs and the design of new concepts that increase safety and automation levels.

In particular, the Aurelion software used to generate the data enables the design and development of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning solutions before applying annotated datasets from real-world situations.
