- Keysight Technologies has announced a partnership with the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) to make its electronic design automation (EDA) software available to European startups and SMEs via the EuroCDP platform.
Deployed as part of the European Chips Act ecosystem, the EuroCDP platform provides centralized, hosted access to chip design software tools. This initiative aims to reduce infrastructure and simulation software licensing costs for small and medium-sized enterprises in the microelectronics sector.
The software suite integrated by Keysight covers radio frequency (RF) and microwave circuit design, electromagnetic and harmonic balance simulation, high-speed digital design, and measurement-based component modeling.
Technical Support and Project Management
In addition to access to computing environments, the partnership includes training modules for engineers and design data management tools designed to ensure version control and the reuse of intellectual property (IP) blocks.
The agreement primarily targets analog and RF applications for the radar, space, and telecommunications sectors. It aims to reduce development times and hardware integration risks prior to manufacturing.
