Keysight Technologies first quarter 2021 results

  • Keysight Technologies released its financial results for the first fiscal quarter of 2021, which ended January 31, 2021.
  • Revenues for the first quarter of 2021 were $1.18 billion. They are expected to be between $1.19 and $1.21 billion in the second quarter of 2021.

 
Keysight’s orders increased by 7% to $1.22 billion compared to $1.14 billion last year.

Revenues increased by 8% to $1.18 billion, compared to $1.10 billion last year, or 6% on a comparable basis, excluding the impact of foreign currency fluctuations and revenues associated with companies acquired or divested during the last twelve months.

Net income under GAAP was $172 million, compared to $163 million in the first quarter of 2020.

Non-GAAP net income was $270 million compared to $240 million in the first quarter of 2020.

As of January 31, 2021, cash and cash equivalents were $1.89 billion.

  • Communications Solutions Group (CSG)
    The CSG business generated first-quarter revenues of $852 million, up 4 percent over last year, driven by significant year-end investments in aerospace, defense and government entities in all major regions of the world.
  • Electronic Industrial Solutions Group (EISG)
    The EISG business recorded first-quarter revenue of $328 million, up 18 percent over last year, driven by sales of semiconductor test solutions and general-purpose electronic instrumentation, particularly in Asia Pacific.
