- Pico Technology’s PicoScope 6000E series of PC-based modular oscilloscopes was named “Test Product of the Year” at Electronics Weekly magazine’s annual Elektra Awards ceremony.
The award, which was presented in a virtual ceremony on March 25, has been recognizing technologies that stand out for their innovation for 18 years.
“This award recognizes the innovation, hard work and dedication of the Pico teams in designing and marketing the 6000E product line. Engineers are under constant pressure to design more sophisticated, higher performance electronic solutions in ever shorter timeframes. The PicoScope 6000E meets this requirement in several ways. It offers high performance and exceptional value for money. Its small size, only 245 x 192 x 62 mm, made it the ideal choice for engineers who had to work from home during the Covid-19 pandemic and thus allowed the electronic design, testing and validation process to continue. This Elektra award confirms that we are on the right track with our strategy to provide professional PC-based test and measurement equipment at fair prices,” said Trevor Smith, Head of Test and Measurement Business Development at Pico.
The PicoScope 6000E Series PC Oscilloscopes include the FlexRes architecture, which allows the scope’s vertical resolution to be optimized from 8 to 12 bits. Depending on the model, they can be equipped with 4 or 8 analog channels offering 300 or 500 MHz bandwidth, 5 GS/s sampling rate and up to 4 GS memory depth. They can also be equipped with 8 or 16 digital inputs.
The 6424E model with 4 analog channels at 500 MHz, 8 digital inputs and the flexible vertical resolution option (8/10/12) is priced at €8014 or $9434.
