ShockLine™ MS46524B Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) from Anritsu

Qualitas Semiconductor Selects Anritsu Vector Network Analyzer

  • Anritsu announced that Qualitas Semiconductor, a specialist in IP PHY solutions for high-speed interconnects, has selected the four-port ShockLine™ MS46524B Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) to enhance signal integrity verification in its IP interface development.
  • This adoption allows Qualitas to establish a verification environment capable of assessing signal integrity across the entire system, including IP PHYs.

Qualitas Semiconductor develops IP solutions for high-speed interconnects, such as IP SerDes PHYs, PCI Express® PHYs, UCIe, and Ethernet PHYs. These technologies are used in a variety of markets, including AI, data centers, automotive, and mobile systems. With increasing transmission rates, system-level verification, including the characteristics of the entire interconnect channel (PCB, enclosure, connectors), is becoming essential. Factors such as transmission losses, reflections, and crosstalk directly influence signal integrity, necessitating a precise measurement environment.

To meet these needs, Qualitas uses the ShockLine™ MS46524B analyzer from Anritsu. This tool enables the analysis of high-speed interconnect channel characteristics and quantitatively verifies signal integrity through measurements based on differential S-parameters and time-domain reflectometry (TDR).

The ShockLine™ MS46524B analyzer offers the stability required for high-frequency measurements, supports mixed environments (probes and coaxial cables), and features high-resolution TDR measurement capabilities, allowing for the analysis of impedance variations in enclosure structures and printed circuit boards (PCBs). These features allow Qualitas to reproduce conditions close to real systems, thus ensuring the reliability necessary for the IP PHY development process.
