The joint venture of National Instruments and ETAS will be operational in early 2020

  • National Instruments (NI) and ETAS have announced that the antitrust authorities have approved the creation of their joint venture.
  • The new company, named ETAS NI Systems GmbH & Co KG, will be fully operational by 1 January 2020.

This joint venture, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, plans to employ 50 people initially. NI and ETAS each own 50% of the new company.

The joint venture, announced in March 2019, will develop test solutions for the automotive industry to reduce design cycles, test times and time to market.

It will design, build and maintain pre-integrated hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems to help automotive manufacturers cope with major technological developments: electrification, advanced driver assistance systems, autonomous vehicles…

ETAS NI Systems will combine the software platform and I/O capabilities of National Instruments with ETAS’ expertise in the development and integration of HIL solutions.
