- Trescal, a specialist in metrology services, has acquired the Norwegian company IKM Laboratorium, a subsidiary of IKM Group, an energy company.
- The French group also acquired Romanian company Metrosenzor and signed an agreement to acquire Metracal in Brazil, effective October 3, 2022.
IKM Laboratorium, which employs 70 people, has a turnover of €10 million. As part of this acquisition, IKM Group and Trescal have entered into an exclusive long-term partnership to serve IKM Group and its customers.
With six laboratories in Norway, IKM Laboratorium provides accredited calibration and maintenance services in ten technical fields, with particular expertise in pressure measurement. In particular, its technicians are qualified to work on offshore platforms. “With this acquisition, we are now present in 29 countries. Our partnership with IKM Group will also enable us to accelerate our development in the energy sector”, says Guillaume Caroit, Trescal’s Managing Director.
Metrosenzor is a Romanian company located in Constanța on the Black Sea. It employs 30 people. It offers accredited services in the fields of mass and humidity and has expertise in the calibration of liquid storage tanks. Its mobile teams calibrate, among other things, weighing systems for agricultural containers in port areas for the food industry.
Located in Sao Paulo, Metracal is the authorized Brazilian service provider for Fluke electrical test instruments. Accredited calibration and repair services are performed by a team of ten technicians.
The French group is in its 45th acquisition since being acquired by Omers in April 2018.
