- Teledyne SP Devices’ ADQ3-USB Series standalone digitizers are designed for data acquisition applications where space is limited.
- They are housed in a compact, standalone enclosure that connects to a PC via USB 3.2.
- They digitize signals with 12-bit resolution at a sampling rate of up to 5 GS/s on two channels and 10 GS/s on one channel.
- Data is transferred to a host PC at a speed of 2 Gbps.
The ADQ3-USB Series digitizers are housed in a rugged, fanless enclosure. Two digitizers can be mounted side-by-side in a standard 1U 19-inch rack. This compact design allows the digitizer to be placed close to the signal sources to be acquired, minimizing cable lengths and limiting signal interference.
The digitizer can integrate an open FPGA that enables real-time signal processing operations. Users can implement application-specific algorithms directly on the digitizer, reducing the need for post-processing and enabling real-time decision-making. Teledyne SP Devices ensures that even large volumes of raw data (up to 20 Gbps) can be reduced and transferred without bottlenecks.
The ADQ3-USB series digitizers can be connected via USB to a mini-PC and laptop. They are therefore ideal for both mobile applications and integration into equipment where space is limited.
These digitizers support several software packages tailored to specific application needs:
- FWDAQ for standard data acquisition
- FWATD for waveform averaging
- FWPD for pulse detection
- DEVDAQ for custom FPGA development.
The ADQ3-USB series consists of several models with one or two channels and covering a frequency band of 760 MHz, 1 GHz, 2 GHz, or 2.5 GHz. The ADQ32-USB model offers a sampling rate of 2.5 GS/s on two channels (5 GS/s on one channel) and a bandwidth of 2.5 GHz. Covering the same bandwidth, the ADQ35-USB model samples signals at up to 5 GS/s on two channels and up to 10 GS/s on one channel.
