- B&K Precision has announced the launch of its 9810 series of programmable AC power supplies, consisting of the 9812 and 9814-220V models, delivering up to 1000 VA of power.
The 9810 series power supplies are designed to meet the demands of production, R&D, and service environments. With an adjustable output of 0 to 300 V and a frequency range of 45 Hz to 500 Hz, these supplies are suitable for evaluating transformers, TRIACs, SCRs (Silicon Controlled Rectifiers), and passive components.
These power supplies feature a List mode that allows users to sequence up to 50 programs, each containing 9 customizable steps. Each stage can be configured with specific voltage, frequency, and timing parameters, including rise and hold times.
For immunity testing, the built-in Power Line Disturbance (PLD) simulator allows for the creation of common waveform anomalies such as surges, dips, and spikes. Additionally, a dedicated dimmer simulation function enables testing of motor and lighting control by adjusting the phase cutoff from 0 to 180°.
Features and Safety
The 9810 Series power supplies are equipped with a 4.3-inch color LCD for viewing measurements, including voltage, current, frequency, power factor, and crest factor. The front panel includes a universal AC output terminal for global compatibility, while the rear panel features RS232 and USB (VCOM) interfaces for integration with peripheral systems and remote control.
To ensure the safety of the device under test (DUT), these power supplies feature built-in protection against overvoltage (OVP), overcurrent (OCP), overpower (OPP), and overtemperature (OTP). A dedicated OC fold function can also automatically reduce the voltage to maintain the current within safe limits.
