- Danisense announces the MK500ID series clamp meter, designed for galvanically isolated measurements of alternating (AC) and direct (DC) currents up to 500 A.
- This new instrument features an accuracy of ±0.1%, a linearity error of 20 ppm, and an extended bandwidth of up to 1 MHz, meeting the needs of demanding current measurement applications.
The MK500ID clamp meter utilizes closed-loop fluxgate technology, ensuring high stability and accuracy. It exhibits a phase shift of 0.05° at frequencies below 100 Hz, approximately twice as accurate as comparable solutions on the market. Its bandwidth, reaching 1 MHz, enables analysis in environments where speed and measurement accuracy are critical.
With a 39 mm diameter opening, this clamp accommodates a variety of conductors. Its ergonomic design makes it easy to use, while a 4-meter cable provides increased flexibility during deployment. Current output is provided via a D-sub-9 connector, with voltage output options available to suit different configurations.
The MK500ID clamp meter is designed to operate in harsh environments, within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. These features make it suitable for use in temporary installations, maintenance projects, and field operations.
Applications for the MK500ID clamp meter
- Battery testing for electric vehicles;
- Power measurement and inverter efficiency evaluation;
- Photovoltaic power generation;
- Renewable energy systems, such as wind and solar;
- Electricity transmission and distribution networks, where measurement accuracy is crucial.
The MK500ID clamp meter is available to order, with initial deliveries expected by the end of June. 2026. Thereafter, the standard delivery time will be four weeks, aligned with that of other Danisense products.
