- Yokogawa has announced the CT1000S series open-core sensor for AC/DC current measurement over a frequency range from DC to 300 kHz.
The growing emphasis on energy efficiency requires increasingly accurate power measurements at high current levels in a variety of fields: electric vehicles, railways, renewable energy…
Whereas installation of Yokogawa’s conventional CT series current sensors requires the connection and disconnection of cables, the CT1000S range of opening sensors is simply installed around the electrical conductor whose current is to be measured. This sensor has a 52 mm diameter cable passage.
The CT1000S can measure AC and DC currents up to 1000A over a measurement frequency range from DC to 300 kHz.
In particular, it can be combined with Yokogawa’s WT5000 series power analyzers and DL950 ScopeCorder series signal recorders.
Depending on the version, the sensor can be fitted with a 3m, 5m or 10m connection cable.
