- Keysight Technologies announces that its Scienlab battery test solution is operated by the BMW Group.
- This test system has been deployed by BMW’s recently opened Battery Cell Competence Centre in Munich, Germany.
The BMW Group’s Competence Centre for Battery Cells started operations in November 2019. Based in Munich-Milbertshofen, this interdisciplinary competence centre aims to advance battery cell technology and introduce it into production processes. The company will invest a total of €200 million in the site over the next four years, creating 200 jobs.
Keysight’s solution includes its Scienlab battery test system in conjunction with its PathWave Lab Operations software that manages test resources, hardware and related information.
The solution enables the planning and execution of test procedures. This includes scheduling, controlling and monitoring battery test systems and the device under test. It also analyzes test results and overall laboratory efficiency to identify potential improvements.
