- RS has brought together the solutions of four component manufacturers for the design of control electronics for respirators on a single web page.
- This web page presents solutions from Maxim, Microchip, STMicroelectronics and Renesas, and makes it easy to select and purchase the components needed to manufacture the electronics unit of a respirator.
RS Components (RS) is providing ongoing support for makers, manufacturers and engineers around the world eager to support the fight against COVID-19 through building and supplying ventilators.
Ventilators are very complex electromechanical devices, the design of which requires specific expertise and the use of the most appropriate components. RS has brought together four solutions, offered by Maxim, Microchip, STMicroelectronics and Renesas, on a web page dedicated to ventilator design. Any engineer or manufacturer wishing to design their own ventilator can access all relevant information from a single web page.
As long as the pandemic continues to put pressure on medical institutions, there will always be a need for respirators. Until this threat is averted, RS announces that it will support the engineering community around the world in any way it can.
Other open source designs for medical devices are available via RS, including pulse oximeter solutions from Maxim, Microchip and ON Semiconductor.
