EA Elektro-Automatik joins Tektronix within the Fortive Group

  • The US-based Fortive Group has completed the acquisition of EA Elektro-Automatik (EA) Holding GmbH, a German company specializing in power test solutions.
  • EA joins Tektronix, Fluke and the Keithley brand in the Fortive Group.
  • With this $1.45 billion acquisition, the American conglomerate has strengthened its offering in the field of electronic test and measurement.

 
Founded in 1974, EA Elektro-Automatik (EA) is a German company specializing in power electronics test solutions for energy storage, electric mobility and renewable energy applications.

EA develops and manufactures programmable laboratory power supplies, high-power mains adapters, electronic loads, battery test systems, etc. Headquartered in Viersen, North Rhine-Westphalia, the company employs over 350 people.
