- Keysight Technologies has joined Siemens Digital Industries Software’s technology partnership program to integrate the Keysight Eggplant Test software solution into Siemens’ Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments, including the Teamcenter platform.
Industrial product development requires rigorous management of technical data and embedded software, centralized within PLM systems. However, updating these infrastructures, integrating new tools, and verifying the overall performance of enterprise applications are complex operations. Traditional manual testing methods often slow deployment cycles due to their limited responsiveness to large-scale code changes.
To address this issue, the technical agreement involves applying Eggplant Test’s AI-powered automation algorithms to Siemens’ industrial processes. The tool automatically replicates and evaluates user interactions, engineering workflow compliance, and software module interoperability before changes are deployed to enterprise production systems.
Reduced Risk During Software Deployments
This software integration enables continuous testing campaigns to detect regressions or malfunctions from the earliest stages of architectural changes.
According to Gareth Smith, Managing Director of Software Quality Engineering at Keysight, direct access to this automation tool helps technical teams validate the stability of their PLM infrastructures during upgrade phases. The goal is to secure data connections and maintain the operational availability of management platforms throughout the product lifecycle, while minimizing post-deployment corrective actions.
