This controller is hardware compliant with PXI-5 PXI Express hardware specification rev. 2.0. It features an 11th-generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor, 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB m.2 NVMe SSD.
It can support bandwidth-demanding applications thanks to the data transmission capabilities offered by the PCIe Gen 4 system and the dual 2500BASE-T interface. The maximum data transmission rate of the PXI system is up to 14 GB/s, using a 4- or 2-link configuration.
“Our new embedded controller is the most compact and powerful 3U slot controller available for the PXI Express and CompactPCI Express platforms,” assures Lee Huckle, chassis product manager at Pickering Interfaces.
This controller, which occupies a single PXI slot, can equip Pickering’s family of PXIe chassis, including its new 42-927-101 series fully hybrid 21-slot PXIe chassis, which was simultaneously launched on the market at productronica 2023.
Pickering also offers a turnkey factory configuration service to streamline configuration, including installation of licenses, Windows drivers and optional installation of PXI or PXIe drivers for its switching and simulation modules.
