- Rohde & Schwarz offers the R&S HF1444G14 series antenna, which covers a frequency range from 14.9 GHz to 44 GHz.
- This antenna, which meets the requirements of CISPR 16-1-4 and CISPR 16-2-3, is suitable for EMI measurements. Each antenna can be individually calibrated (optional).
In particular, the new microwave antenna enables EMI measurements to be carried out on devices operating at frequencies in the FR2 band. It features high antenna gain (approx. 14 dBi at center frequency) and a beamwidth of over 28° at 3 dB half-power.
In a single measurement, the antenna’s radiation can completely cover an equipment under test (EUT) with a cylindrical volume of 1.5 m x 1.5 m, located at a distance of 3 meters. This means that the antenna can be placed closer to the EUT, and a smaller, less expensive EMC chamber can be used.
This antenna meets the requirements of CISPR 16-1-4 and the updated CISPR 16-2-3 standard. The updated standard specifies that the frequency range from 1 GHz to 18 GHz is extended to 40 GHz, and that a minimum beamwidth of 28° is required at 3 dB half-power.
The new EMC antenna, combined with the R&S ESW44 EMI test receiver, enables all compliance tests to be carried out up to 44 GHz. It can be used by EMC test laboratories and manufacturers of electronic products or equipment who have to conduct EMI tests in various sectors such as the automotive industry, mobile telephony, consumer electronics, industrial electronics, etc.
The R&S HF1444G14 series microwave antenna will be available in mid-2025.
