Teledyne LeCroy’s Voyager M4x analyzer ready for USB4 and Thunderbolt 3 tests

  • Teledyne LeCroy presents the Voyager M4x protocol analysis platform for testing next-generation USB4 and Thunderbolt 3 systems.

The USB 4 specification converges Thunderbolt and USB protocols to increase compatibility between products with USB type C connectors, simplifying device connection.

Teledyne LeCroy’s Voyager M4x protocol analyzer is designed for product development applications using USB4 communication interfaces, scheduled for launch in mid-2019.

Teledyne LeCroy, who has been developing USB protocol analyzers since 1997, says her Voyager M4x will be available from April 2019.

The Voyager M4x protocol analyzer uses Teledyne LeCroy’s T.A.P.4 technology and analysis software to verify the interoperability and compliance of USB type C links.

Designed to be backward compatible for testing existing USB links, the Voyager M4x captures 100% of bus traffic and protocol from USB4 devices and systems. The T.A.P.4 probe technology locks on the signal-under-test without impacting critical link training and speed negotiation handshaking.
