Texas Instruments opens European distribution center

  • Texas Instruments opens a new distribution center near Frankfurt (Germany) to speed up the process of delivering its products to customers on the European continent.
  • This fully automated distribution center will enable same-day delivery in central Germany, and next-day delivery in most European countries.

Texas Instruments (TI) announces the opening of a new distribution center in Dreieich, near Frankfurt. With its 9,000 m² of floor space and new automation systems, the site can ship up to 7,500 orders a day across Europe for a wide range of the American manufacturer’s analog and integrated processing semiconductors.

“Our new product distribution center offers a faster, more efficient, more flexible and more reliable service to all our European customers, in order to meet current and future demand for semiconductors,” says Stefan Bruder, President of Texas Instruments Europe. “The Dreieich site adds to our international distribution network, which, combined with the various purchasing options on offer, enhances our customers’ experience – from product selection to shipping.”

Located close to the sites of numerous customers in the industrial and automotive sectors, as well as Frankfurt airport, this distribution center aims to speed up the delivery of TI products in Europe. The handling, packaging and dispatch process is fully automated, and orders are ready for dispatch in no more than 15 minutes. Customers located in Central Germany can count on same-day delivery, while a next-day delivery option is available in most European countries.

TI has been present in Europe since 1956. Its new distribution center strengthens its local presence – notably through the semiconductor wafer plant in Freising (Germany), but also through research and development teams, and more than 30 sales departments in 18 countries.
