- Aaronia’s Spectran® V6 Mobile range of instruments enables real-time spectrum analysis in the field.
- These analyzers are integrated into a tablet-sized case to identify sources of radio interference on site.
- Depending on the model, they cover a frequency range from 9kHz to 7.2GHz with a real-time bandwidth (RTBW) of 44 MHz, or from 75MHz to 6GHz with a real-time bandwidth of 490 MHz.
The analyzer tablet exploits a PC card developed in-house by the German manufacturer, which has integrated an AMD Ryzen™ 7 Core 8845HS processor running Windows 11. Combined with the AMD Readeon™ 780M GPU, the system therefore offers, according to Aaronia, significant computing power, but also delivers, in fractions of a second, high-resolution graphics of all measurement results.
The portable analyzer also features several USB PD ports, an HDMI connection, two 2.5 Gbit Ethernet ports and an SD card reader. It comes with 64 GB DDR5 RAM and a 2 TB M.2 NVMe hard disk. It also features two additional M.2 2280 slots and three M.2 2242 slots.
The Spectran® V6 Mobile analyzer, with its 490 MHz real-time bandwidth, can fully capture the 320 MHz channels specified by the new IEEE 802.11ax standard for Wi-Fi 6. Frequency range and scan speed can also be selected to suit the task in hand.
The instrument can be equipped with a standard 15” screen with a brightness of up to 1,500 NIT, or an OLED screen with a brightness of up to 1,300 NIT. Which screen is actually used will depend on further tests. Both variants are designed to guarantee optimum image reproduction for use in outdoor environments. All connections are protected against the ingress of water or dirt by sealing plugs.
The built-in rechargeable battery and hot-swappable extension battery provide a runtime of around 4.5 hours, depending on the application.
The Spectran® V6 Mobile 500TA-6 analyzer is supplied with an OmniLOG® 30800 series omnidirectional broadband antenna, developed for radial isotropic measurements from 300 MHz to 8 GHz. This enables analysis of most RF sources such as LTE, GSM, UMTS or WLAN. It allows direct measurements without having to align the antenna. Thanks to its compact size, the antenna allows measurements to be carried out discreetly.
