Spectran V6 Eco 100XA-6 real-time spectrum analyzer from Aaronia.

Aaronia offers a modular real-time spectrum analyzer at an attractive price

  • The Spectran V6 Eco series real-time spectrum analyzer from German manufacturer Aaronia is housed in a compact box that connects to a PC for control via USB.
  • The Spectran V6 Eco 100XA-6 with wattmeter function and RTSA-Suite Pro software application is priced at €2,748.

This spectrum analyzer covers a frequency range from 9 kHz to 6 GHz, optionally up to 7.25 GHz for measurement of Wi-Fi 6E signals. It has a real-time bandwidth (RTBW) of 44 MHz or a sweep speed of 500 GHz/s.

The power meter input can be used as a broadband oscilloscope, for example. It is integrated into the Rx1 path and can be used simultaneously with the Rx1 input. It covers a frequency range from 1 MHz to 8 GHz with an accuracy of +/- 1 dB, a pulse response time of 10 ns and a dynamic range of 70 dB. The power meter’s analog-to-digital converter (ADC) operates at a real-time sampling rate of 2.5 MS/s with 12-bit resolution, corresponding to a pulse resolution of 400 ns. This enables power monitoring, which can be used, for example, to protect the preamplifier stage by automatically deactivating it in the event of overload.

The Spectran V6 Eco 100XA-6 analyzer comes with the RTSA-Suite Pro software application for signal recording and data analysis. Among other things, this software allows simultaneous display of various 2D and 3D signal visualizations, triggers, AM/FM decoders and IQ processing. Analysis options allow IQ data recorded in real time at a later date to be evaluated and analyzed in detail on standard PCs. If required, several Spectran V6 Eco can be cascaded to create a wideband, phase-coherent recording solution, for example.

The USB spectrum analyzer connects to a PC or laptop via a single USB cable. Power is supplied via USB PD using the same USB port. It can be connected to HyperLog EMI antennas, BicoLog series EMC measurement antennas, the IsoLog 3D Mobile for 3D measurements, and near-field probes specially developed for measurements on components or at PCB level. However, all the German manufacturer’s other antennas and products from other manufacturers can also be used with this spectrum analyzer.
