Anritsu and Emite OTA test system for LTE, WLAN and Bluetooth

Anritsu and Emite combine solutions for compatibility testing of LTE, WLAN and Bluetooth technologies

  • Spain’s Emite and Japan’s Anritsu are combining their solutions to offer a system for compatibility testing of different wireless communication technologies such as LTE, WLAN and Bluetooth.

Anritsu’s MT8862A wireless connectivity tester, MT8821C radio communication analyzer and MT8852B Bluetooth tester have been integrated into Emite’s E600 reverberation chamber.

The E600 test chamber allows for the measurement of passive RF antennas and front ends in up to 8×8 MIMO configurations over a frequency range of 400 MHz to 52.6 GHz.

This solution allows for over-the-air performance testing (OTA TRP/TIS/TPUT) in a repeatable test environment. It is thus possible to characterize different coexistence scenarios of the latest generation of communication devices.

In tests of coexistence scenarios of WLAN transmissions with LTE and Bluetooth, and of LTE with WLAN and Bluetooth, this integrated solution has enabled the measurement of total radiated power (TRP), total isotropic sensitivity (TIS), and OTA TPUT physical performance indicators of various devices on the market.

This solution provides the ability to test and implement the latest wireless transmission standards to ensure that manufacturers and service providers offer fully compatible devices.
