OTA test system from Emite and Anritsu

Anritsu and Emite expand frequency coverage of their OTA test solution to 6 GHz

  • Anritsu and Emite announce that their integrated system for conducting OTA testing now covers the 6 GHz frequency band.
  • This allows the OTA (Over-the-Air) test system to test Wi-Fi 6E wireless communicating devices.
  • This new band complements the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands already covered by the test solution.

The Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E protocols are based on the IEEE 802.11ax wireless communication standard. The 6E variant uses a new 6 GHz frequency band to complement the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands that can be saturated in urban environments.

Anritsu’s MT8862A test solution has been integrated with Emite’s E600 reverberation chamber. This allows developers to test the OTA TRP/TIS performance of devices using the IEEE 802.11ax wireless communication standard in an environment that provides repeatable test conditions.

The combination of the Emite reverberation chamber and Anritsu’s MT8862A tester enables the characterization of the latest devices using the Wi-Fi 6E wireless communication standard.

This integrated system can measure the total radiated power (TRP) and total isotropic sensitivity (TIS) over-the-air (OTA) performance metrics of devices using the IEEE 802.11ax standard.

About Emite
Emite Ingeniería is a Spanish company that develops, manufactures and markets OTA test systems for performance, compliance and pre-compliance testing of all 2G to 5G, LTE-A and Wi-Fi standards and pre-standards (up to 6E).
