- AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has announced the construction of a new test facility at its global headquarters in Souderton, PA.
The new facility, which will showcase AR’s equipment, test chambers, test software and custom solution design capabilities, will allow the U.S. company to test up to HIRF-level field strengths and test to the requirements of a variety of EMC standards such as MIL-STD-461,DO-160, ISO-11451-2 and IEC-61000-4-3.
“We are excited to embark on this project that will expand our in-house capabilities and allow us to showcase the full scope of AR’s solutions. Our new facility will provide our customers with access to an EMC test center with the most advanced technologies,” said Donald Shepherd, president of the U.S. company.
AR’s new test center is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021. To accommodate large equipment and field strengths, the new facility will include a 10-meter semi-anechoic chamber and a reverberation chamber with the lowest usable frequency of 200 MHz. These capabilities will allow AR to perform final acceptance testing in-house for customers prior to shipment. In addition, an integrated product showcase will demonstrate the testing capabilities of all of AR’s solutions.
