- B&K Precision has announced the launch of the DAS1800-R, a 19-inch rackmount version of its modular, high-speed data acquisition system, the DAS1800 family.
- Designed for integration into automated test equipment (ATE) systems, this new model retains the hardware and software capabilities of the DAS1800 data acquisition system, while being housed in a chassis suitable for industrial and laboratory environments.
The DAS1800-R data acquisition system is optimized for multi-channel configurations, with 10 module slots compatible with the DAS1800 family’s plug-and-play ecosystem. This modularity allows for scalability up to 80 analog channels and 16 digital inputs. To facilitate integration into test racks, the chassis is equipped with rear-facing module slots and communication interfaces, keeping cabling neatly organized within the rack.
Sensitive Data Security
The DAS1800-R data acquisition system prioritizes data security and process efficiency. It features a removable 1TB SSD, accessible from the front panel and secured by a key lock. This allows for easy removal of sensitive data, meeting the data sanitization protocols required in the aerospace and defense industries.
Measurement and Sampling Capabilities
The acquisition system can measure voltages, currents, resistances, and temperatures (via thermocouples or RTDs). Depending on the modules used, it can achieve sampling rates of up to 1 MS/s per channel for up to 40 channels, and measure signals up to ±1500 VDC or 1000 Vrms, with CAT III 1500 V and CAT IV 1000 V safety ratings.
This data acquisition system is also equipped with a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen, providing ample viewing space for real-time display of waveforms, numerical values, and harmonic histograms up to the 50th order. For power analysis applications, the system includes a dedicated function for single-phase and three-phase DC systems operating at 50 Hz, 60 Hz, and 400 Hz.
