Copper Mountain FET1854 frequency extension system for 5G test.

Copper Mountain offers a frequency extension module for 5G tests

  • Copper Mountain Technologies launches the FET1854 frequency extenders operating in the 18 to 54 GHz frequency range.
  • This module complements its CobaltFx mmWave frequency extension systems already available up to 110 GHz.

With the launch of the FET1854 frequency extension module with a 50 Ohms coaxial connector, the CobaltFx system allows to design a scalable test solution for equipments and components for 5G telecommunications.

This module can be coupled with one of the US manufacturer’s modular vector network analyzers. These analysers, which are controlled by a PC via a USB link, are equipped with 2 or 4 ports and cover frequencies from 100 kHz to 9 or 20 GHz.

CobaltFx already has frequency extension systems in its catalogue operating in several frequency bands: 18 to 54 GHz, 50 to 75 GHz, 60 to 90 GHz and 75 to 110 GHz.

Copper Mountain Technologies Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) are integrated into a faceless RF measurement module associated with a software application that runs on a Windows PC, laptop or tablet, connecting to the measurement module via a USB interface.

This allows the user to take advantage of the latest operating systems, processing capabilities, screen size of an external PC. This solution fits into every testing environments in lab, production, and field.
