Cliosoft SOS, a data management platform

Keysight announced the acquisition of Cliosoft

  • Cliosoft’s suite of IP and hardware design data management software tools will expand Keysight Technologies’ electronic design automation solution offering.

Since its inception, Cliosoft has focused on managing design data, including the functional intellectual property (IP) blocks used in integrated circuits. Its products complement Keysight’s electronic design automation (EDA) software offering to include process and data management (PDM) capabilities that have been adopted by more than 400 global semiconductor and electronic system manufacturers.

Keysight and Cliosoft are long-time partners, as the Cliosoft SOS data management platform already integrates with Keysight’s Advanced Design System (ADS) solution. They will continue to offer revision control and data and intellectual property management solutions through their relationships with electronic design software vendors such as Cadence, Empyrean, MathWorks, Siemens EDA, Silvaco and Synopsys.

“One of our core competencies is creating digital and connected workflows, from the design phases to the test stages, that aim to accelerate customers’ digital transformation. We see a great opportunity to leverage Cliosoft’s PDM capabilities and combine them with our expertise in design and test solutions,” said Niels Faché, vice president and general manager of Keysight EDA.

Since 1997, Cliosoft has grown by offering a variety of tools to system-on-chip (SoC) professionals in all areas of hardware design data management. The California-based company has an international team of about 40 engineers in 10 offices on three continents.
