Keysight launches a family of three instruments in USB format

  • Keysight Technology announced a new platform of modular instruments controlled by PC via a USB link.
  • The Keysight Streamline Series consists of three types of instruments: vector network analyzers (VNAs), oscilloscopes and an arbitrary waveform generator (AWG).

  • P924xA Oscilloscopes
The modules of the P924xA family are oscilloscopes offering 31 measurement functions and various trigger modes including field trigger. They are controlled via the PC-based InfiniiVision Keysight interface similar to that provided by the InfiniiVision series desktop oscilloscopes. This range includes three models with bandwidths of 200 MHz, 500 MHz and 1GHz, a memory depth of 4 Mpts and a maximum sampling capacity of 5GS/s on one channel and 2.5GS/s on two channels. These oscilloscope modules integrate several measurement functions: 3-digit digital voltmeter, 8-digit counter, I²C, UART, CAN, LIN or CXPI protocol analysis, spectral analysis with FFT and channel power measurements, arbitrary waveform generation up to 20 MHz.
  • P9336A Arbitrary waveform generator
The P9336A module has three channels for arbitrary signal generation with 16-bit resolution. It has a bandwidth of 540 MHz and offers an on-board memory capacity of 2 GB or 4 GB. The digitization of the signals is carried out at a rate of 1 éch./s to 320 Méch/s or 1.28Géch./s. This modular arbitrary waveform generator can be used for traditional test and measurement applications up to the generation of complex I/Q signals (1080 MHz I/Q modulation bandwidth) to characterize transceivers and modulators. Waveforms can be created using software tools such as Signal Studio or Waveform Creator from Keysight. It is also possible to create waveforms from Matlab or other tools.
  • P937xA Vector network analyzers
The P937xA models are compact vector network analyzers (VNAs) with two ports and frequency coverage of 4.5GHz, 6.5GHz, 9GHz, 14GHz, 20GHz and 26.5GHz. They display a dynamic range of 115 dB and a trace noise level of 0.003 dBrms. They are intended for testing passive components such as antennas, filters and duplexers. The user interface running on the host PC is identical to that of Keysight’s latest traditional vector network analyzers.
