OptimalPlus electronic manufacturing data analysis platform

NI finalizes the acquisition of the Israeli OptimalPlus

  • Texas-based National Instruments, renamed NI on June 16, officially closed the OptimalPlus acquisition announced on June 3, 2020.
  • The Israeli company OptimalPlus specializes in data analysis software for the semiconductor, automotive and electronics industries.
  • The acquisition of OptimalPlus, which had sales of $51 million in 2019, is estimated at approximately $365 million.

According to NI, companies are looking for new ways to implement their digital transformation strategy. This requires integrated systems and software platforms to connect industrial equipment and then exploit the large volume of data they produce.

With the acquisition of OptimalPlus, NI aims to provide solutions to enable companies to connect test and measurement systems and seamlessly exploit the data they provide throughout the product life cycle: from the design phase through characterization and into manufacturing.

According to Eric Starkloff, President and CEO of NI, “The data analysis capabilities of OptimalPlus allow us to create a software platform that connects multiple data sources within the digital environment throughout the product lifecycle to improve quality, efficiency and avoid failures. »
