Rohde & Schwarz and Marvin Test Solutions combine their solutions to offer a 5G beamforming tester

  • Rohde & Schwarz and Marvin Test Solutions announce a turnkey production test solution for beamforming integrated circuits used in 5G mmWave (FR2) and satellite communications.
  • The Marvin Test Solutions TS 900e-5G production tester operates the Rohde & Schwarz R&S ZNBT40 multi-port vector network analyzer (VNA).

 
The R&S ZNBT40 multi-port VNA provides verification and characterization of beamforming integrated circuits with typically 5, 9 or even 17 RF ports. This vector network analyser with a true multi-port architecture covers a frequency range from 100 kHz to 40 GHz.

In addition to testing multi-port devices, such as integrated beamforming circuits, it also allows several units under test to be tested in parallel by offering up to 24 ports. This large number of ports allows detailed characterization of an integrated beamforming circuit and allows cross correlation effects to be identified while monitoring all antenna connections.
