Spectrum Rider FPH spectrum analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz

Rohde & Schwarz portable spectrum analyzers go up to 44 GHz

  • Rohde & Schwarz is expanding its Spectrum Rider FPH family of portable spectrum analyzers with new models covering a frequency range of up to 44 GHz.
  • The R&S Spectrum Rider FPH family already included models with frequency ranges from 5 kHz to 6, 13.6 and 26.5 GHz.

In addition to the new 44 GHz spectrum analyzer, three new versions with tracking generators are also available that offer measurement frequencies up to 13.6, 26.5 and 44 GHz.

The new models are suitable for field test applications in 5G communications, broadcasting, radar, defense and satellite.

The R&S Spectrum Rider has a sensitivity of -160 dBm and a measurement accuracy of 0.5 dB between 10 MHz and 3 GHz.

The 44 GHz model weighs 3.2 kg and has a battery life of 4.5 hours. Its backlit keyboard allows users to work in the dark, while its non-reflective display offers a dedicated daylight mode for best readability in bright sunlight.

The Spectrum Rider FPH family of portable spectrum analyzers features a 7-inch diagonal capacitive touchscreen that makes it easy to intuitively set parameters such as frequency, span and reference level, as well as marker positioning.

Large buttons and an ergonomic multi-function wheel make it easy to use the instrument with gloves in outdoor environments.

The analyzer can be remotely controlled via USB or LAN. For added convenience, the R&S MobileView app for iOS or Android allows remote control of the instrument.
