- Rohde & Schwarz announced the R&S FPL1000 transportable spectrum analyzer for research, maintenance and production applications.
- This spectrum analyzer, which operates over a frequency range of up to 3 GHz, can integrate noise-factor measurement capabilities.
The R&S FPL1000 offers a variety of RF signal measurement functions: spectrum measurements, demodulation of analogue and digital signals, power measurements.
This portable instrument has a 10.1” WXGA touch screen from which it is possible to configure the center frequency, reference level, zoom span or amplitude range.
Built into a compact case (408 mm x 235 mm), this instrument, which is equipped with a carrying handle, can optionally incorporate a battery.
The R&S FPL1000 spectrum analyser operates on a frequency range from 5 kHz to 3 GHz. It has a typical phase noise of -108 dBc for a 1 GHz carrier and a 10 kHz offset, and an average displayed noise level (DANL) of -167 dBm with the optional preamplifier.
The R&S FPL1000 offers a variety of spectral measurements: channel power, adjacent channel leakage rate (ACLR), signal-to-noise ratio, noise measurement, harmonic distortion, third order interception point (TOI), and AM modulation depth.
With an analysis band of 10 MHz as standard and 40 MHz as an option, this instrument range makes analogue signal analysis possible with the R&S FPL1-K7 option.
The digital signals are characterized with the R&S VSE software and the R&S VSE-K70 option.
The R&S FPL1-K30 option, combined with an external noise source, allows the R&S FPL1000 analyzers to measure the noise factor.
