- Teradyne has appointed Shannon Poulin to succeed Rick Burns as President of its Semiconductor Test Division in Q2 2025. Rick Burns will retire on June 1, 2025.
Shannon Poulin has over 30 years’ experience in technology-based companies. Most recently, he was COO of Altera, a manufacturer of reprogrammable components (FPGA, CPLD), formerly part of Intel. Prior to this, he spent 22 years at Intel, where he held various management positions.
Rick Burns, who joined Teradyne in 2007, has held various positions within the company. In particular, he was Senior Director of Hardware Engineering for nine years and Vice President of Semiconductor Test Engineering for almost five years. President of the Semiconductor Test Division since 2020, he will retire after a transition period in the second quarter of 2025.
Teradyne designs, develops and manufactures automated test equipment and advanced robotic systems. Its test solutions for semiconductors and electronic products enable customers to meet their quality standards. Its robotics business includes collaborative and mobile robots that support manufacturing and warehousing operations.
