- Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the increasing number of cases in Europe and the health restrictions imposed by the authorities, the 2020 edition of European Microwave Week (EuMW) will take the form of a virtual event.
- EuMW 2020 will therefore be held via an Internet platform from 10 to 15 January 2021.
Also due to the pandemic, the 2020 edition of the European event on radio frequency, microwave, radar and wireless communication technologies, which was originally scheduled to take place from 13 to 18 September 2020 in Utrecht (Netherlands), had been postponed to January (10 to 15 January 2021).
European Microwave Week brings together the European Microwave Conference, the 15th European Microwave Integrated Circuit Conference and the 17th European Radar Conference.
EuMW is organized by Horizon House on behalf of the European Microwave Association (EuMA), an international non-profit association with scientific, educational and technical objectives.
The virtual edition of EuMW will run from January 10, 2021 until January 15, 2021. Participants will be able to access the conference sessions and visit the virtual booths until February 5. The event will take place via the vFairs platform to host the conference and the virtual exhibition. VFairs is an immersive environment that allows users to browse content, network with exhibitors or peers, and attend live webinars.
The next edition of the European event is already planned. It is expected to abandon (conditions permitting) its virtual form to take place in London in October 2021 in its usual format.
