Dspace obtains ISO 26262 certification for three validation tools

  • Dspace has obtained ISO 26262 certification from TÜV Süd for three ECU software validation tools.
  • This means that the VEOS tools, the RTT (Real-Time Testing) test automation software and the Platform API Package can be used in safety-related development projects in accordance with ISO 26262: 2018 for all automotive safety integrity levels (ASIL).

“In addition to the newly certified tools, the AutomationDesk and Simphera tools have already been certified to ISO 26262. This is another step in our strategy to provide customers with the best possible support for their tool qualification,” said Jann-Eve Stavesand, Head of Consulting at Dspace.

The certification simplifies the qualification of all processes according to ISO 26262 with VEOS, RTT, and the Platform API Package. The tools can be used in critical projects without the need for high skills. In addition, security manuals are available to assist users in deployment.

VEOS is a PC-based simulation solution for ECU software validation. It allows the simulation of a range of models from functional models to bus systems to vehicle models to virtual ECU networks.

Real-Time Testing is a Python-based real-time test automation software that can be used for both hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.

The Platform API Package provides interfaces to Dspace platforms, including VEOS and Scalexio. It allows access to and management of models.

Together or individually, these three solutions are used in the development of safety systems to help users establish safe operation.
