- Ideal Networks, a manufacturer of testers for data cabling and computer, telecom and video security networks, will change its name to Trend Networks effective March 31, 2021.
The company indicates having made the choice in order to consolidate its identity and to distinguish itself from its former parent company Ideal Industries from which the company has been separated for more than two years following its acquisition by CBPE Capital with its management team.
The name Trend Networks does not however come from nowhere. It refers to Trend Communications, an English company acquired by Ideal Networks fifteen years ago. This company, founded in 1965 and specialized in telecom testers, has been developing for more than forty years a range of products including telex and data transmission analyzers as well as ISDN and xDSL testers.
“Our dedicated team remains unchanged and our products such as the LanTek line of cable testers and certifiers will not be impacted by the name change,” said Paul Walsh, CEO of Ideal Networks.
Ideal Networks, newly named Trend Networks, plans to launch new projects in the near future that will enable its cloud-based platform to support a broader range of network and cabling test interfaces. Its Ideal AnyWare Cloud-based platform, which offers pre-configuration, collaboration and test reporting capabilities, will become Trend AnyWare.
