- The PTCRB has validated the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) test scenarios of Rohde & Schwarz for the validation of 5G NR communication equipment.
- With the software option CMX-KC621X, the IMS 5G test scenarios validated by the PTCRB can now be integrated into the CMX500 tester.
Rohde & Schwarz announced the availability of the first IMS compliance test scenarios, validated by the PTCRB, for certification testing of 5G NR technologies.
To ensure interoperability within different mobile phone networks, cellular communication devices must be certified by GCF or PTCRB-accredited testing laboratories. All mobile devices must be certified in order to be accepted by telecom operators. This certification includes conformity tests of IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) basic functions.
For this purpose, Rohde & Schwarz offers a solution for carrying out these conformity tests using its CMW500 radio protocol conformity tester. Based on this radio communication tester, all test systems can upgrade their test capabilities to support NR 5G communication equipment.
