Real-time spectrum analyzers RSA513A and RSA518A in USB format from Tektronix.

Tektronix RSA500 USB spectrum analyzers cover frequencies up to 18 GHz

  • Tektronix extends the RSA500 range of USB spectrum analyzers operating on an on-board battery with the RSA513A and RSA518A modules covering a frequency band of 13 GHz and 18 GHz respectively.
  • These instruments have IQ data stream transfer capabilities to analyze this data via dedicated RF signal processing software.

Tektronix RSA500 Series spectrum analyzers are integrated into a compact housing that connects to the PC and is controlled via USB. They can be used for spectrum monitoring in the Ku band, for testing 5G LTE base stations or for military applications such as RADHAZ or EMCON monitoring.

With their ability to transfer IQ data streams out of the instrument, the RSA500 analyzers allow both capture and replay of broadband signals for subsequent analysis.

The RSA513A and RSA518A spectrum analyzers, integrated in a 3.85 kg battery pack, cover a frequency band from 9 kHz to 13.6 GHz and from 9 kHz to 18.0 GHz respectively. They have a real time bandwidth of 40 MHz and display a dynamic range of -160 dBm to +20 dBm and an SFDR of 70dBc.

These instruments have an integrated tracking generator for testing RF components and a GPS to geolocate and map signals.

The RSA500 is controlled by SignalVu software, the same software used by all Tektronix real-time spectrum analyzers. This software offers a variety of signal measurement and analysis functions.

The RSA513A and RSA518A modules are available from 16400 € ($16,500) and 19300 € ($19,500) respectively.
