Teledyne LeCroy HDO4000A, HDO6000A, HDO8000A, and MDA800A oscilloscopes

Teledyne Lecroy’s HDO-A series high-resolution oscilloscopes multiply by 10 their sampling speed

  • Teledyne Lecroy increases the sampling speed of the HDO-A oscilloscopes range.
  • These high definition oscilloscopes, which are distinguished by their 12 bit resolution, are now capable of digitizing signals at speeds up to 10 GS/s.
  • They feature a bandwidth up to 1 GHz and an acquisition memory of up to 250 Mpt per channel.
  • MSO versions with 16 digital inputs are also available.
  • The HDO4000A, HDO6000A and HDO8000A series oscilloscopes and the MDA800A motor control analyzers also feature the “MAUI with OneTouch” user interface for intuitive control on their 12.1” touchscreen and an advanced embedded PC platform.

Teledyne LeCroy introduces the HDO4000A, HDO6000A, HDO8000A, and MDA800A oscilloscopes series with mixed and analog inputs. These four families of high-definition oscilloscopes offer bandwidths ranging from 200 MHz to 1 GHz and utilize the manufacturer’s HD4096 technology, which digitizes signals up to 1 GHz on 12 bits at a rate of up to 10 Gech / s. This technology, which was launched in 2012, optimizes the display of acquired waveforms over their entire bandwidth. It is complemented by ESR (Enhanced Sample Rate) technology, which automatically optimizes the display of acquired waveforms over the entire frequency band of the instrument.

The eight channels that equip the HDO8000A allow the testing of three-phase and / or high level power converters. The HDO800A motor control analyzers, which are based on the HDO8000A platform, also calculate the three-phase mechanical and electrical powers while offering the unique possibility of visualizing dynamic and static powers in order to validate the entire system. control.

These High-Definition range oscilloscopes can incorporate a variety of serial bus triggering and decoding options, measurement tools, and eye diagram visualization.

All HDO-A series oscilloscopes use the “MAUI with OneTouch” operator interface, which optimizes the comfort and efficiency of use of the instrument by enabling access to all common functions by simple finger touch on the screen. The user interface provides drag-and-drop functions to duplicate and configure settings, mathematical calculations and measurement parameters. Tactile functions such as dragging, dropping, pinching, and flipping, allow the user to instinctively interact with the oscilloscope.

Teledyne LeCroy also offers optional software packages for the HDO-A series oscilloscopes to meet the requirements of serial data testing: standard conformance test packs, debugging tools, eye-chart measurement packs, and specific protocols for serial data analysis. These specific packs are offered in addition to the triggering and decoding software, to decode the acquired data and trace their evolution over time, to carry out time measurements on the buses and to create eye diagrams to perform tests against standards or customized masks.

The 16 digital inputs of MSO models (Mixed Signal Oscilloscope) can be used to trigger, decode and perform measurements to analyze timing irregularities or to more generally debug digital designs. This makes it possible to reserve the analog inputs for the observation of defects related to the physical layer.
