Trescal Metrology services

Trescal makes two acquisitions in the healthcare sector

  • Trescal, a specialist in metrology services, has announced the acquisition of two companies: Classic Technology located in the Republic of Ireland and CATLab based in the United States.
  • The two companies, with total revenues of €6 million, are the 34th and 35th acquisitions made by Trescal since its acquisition by Omers in April 2018.

“These acquisitions illustrate our desire to expand our offering in the healthcare sector. We expect to reach 30% of our revenue in this sector by the end of the year,” said Guillaume Caroit, CEO of Trescal Group.

With the acquisition of Classic Technology located in Naas, Trescal has established a presence in the Republic of Ireland, which becomes the 27th country where the group operates, whereas in 2008 it was present in only seven countries. Founded in 1997, the company specializes in the healthcare sector, particularly with the pharmaceutical industry and medical device manufacturers.

Founded in 1989, CATLab is a U.S.-based company that also specializes in the healthcare sector. It is accredited in six areas including pressure, vacuum, temperature, humidity and flow measurement. With the company’s two laboratories located in Virginia and North Carolina, Trescal now has five locations in Virginia and North Carolina. This expands its geographic coverage in the Southeastern United States.
