- Trescal, a metrology services group, acquires the American laboratory Diamond Technical Services (DTS) and the French repair and maintenance provider Acteam Industries.
Diamond Technical Services (DTS) is an American laboratory founded in 2003. Located in Boston, this ANAB-accredited laboratory, which employs 23 people, provides laboratory and on-site calibration services in the dimensional, pressure and temperature fields, particularly within the framework of the AMS 2750 standard, and generated $2.5 million in revenue in 2017. Its current CEO, Timothy Mullen, will continue to manage this entity within the Trescal group.
Acteam Industries specializes in the maintenance and repair of multi-brand industrial assembly tools and screwing equipment for various industrial sectors: aeronautics, automotive, transport and energy. This French company, based in Nantes, also offers COFRAC accredited calibration services in the field of torque measurement. With a workforce of twelve people, its turnover reached 2.1 million euros in 2017. Christophe Poisson, its current CEO, will remain with the company he founded in 2006.
These two transactions are the third and fourth acquisitions made by Trescal since its acquisition by Omers, the main shareholder of the Trescal group.
